Overview
Black Hills Heart & Vascular Institute (BHHVI), the fastest growing independent, physician-owned heart and vascular practice in the region, is seeking a Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN) to join our growing cardiovascular team.
This role involves managing comprehensive pre- and post-procedural care, as well as circulating and monitoring patients during advanced outpatient cardiovascular and peripheral vascular procedures in our private office-based lab (OBL). Responsibilities
- Prepare patients thoroughly for upcoming cardiovascular and peripheral vascular procedures.
- Circulate and closely monitor patient vitals and safety during active OBL procedures.
- Administer moderate sedation safely and precisely per clinical protocol.
- Maintain highly accurate procedural documentation and uphold strict quality standards.
- Assist with clinical inventory management and overall procedural workflow optimization.
- Collaborate closely with all BHHVI team members and referring regional clinicians.
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of South Dakota (or eligible to obtain).
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
- Prior clinical experience in a Cath Lab, ICU, ER, or alternative procedural nursing setting is preferred (but not mandatory).
- Strong critical thinking, quick decision-making, and excellent communication skills.
- Proven ability to thrive and maintain focus in a fast-paced procedural environment.
