Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Clinic Nurse to join our physician-owned cardiovascular practice. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced nurse looking for a rewarding clinic environment with a predictable schedule and no night shifts or call requirements. Our clinic nurses may also help in the procedure center, or OBL, if desired.
Schedule
- 4-day work week
- No call required
- No night shifts
Responsibilities
- Room patients and obtain vital signs, medical histories, and chief complaints
- Assist physicians during clinic visits and minor procedures
- Administer medications and injections as ordered by the physician
- Perform electrocardiograms (ECGs) and apply rhythm monitors
- Triage patient phone calls and respond to clinical inquiries in a timely manner
- Contact patients by phone to deliver test results and follow-up instructions
- Assist with scheduling patients for procedures, referrals, and follow-up appointments
- Coordinate care with other healthcare providers and facilities
- Accurately document all patient interactions in the electronic medical record
- Educate patients on cardiovascular conditions, medications, and lifestyle modifications
- Willingness to assist with all aspects of patient care in a small, collaborative practice setting
Qualifications
- Current RN licensure in the state of South Dakota (or compact state eligibility)
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in a cardiology or specialty clinic setting
- BLS and ACLS certification required
- Strong knowledge of cardiovascular conditions and medications
- Excellent communication, organizational, and patient education skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Proficiency with electronic medical records
Compensation & Benefits
