Location
Rapid City, SD | Full-Time | No Call / No Weekends / No Holidays
Overview
Black Hills Heart and Vascular Institute, a premier private cardiology and vascular medicine group in Rapid City, SD, is seeking an experienced, motivated Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our rapidly growing independent practice.
This is a hands-on, procedural Advanced Practice Provider (APP) role — not a pure clinic position. You will work alongside our interventional cardiologists in the outpatient clinic, assist with vascular and cardiovascular procedures in our private ambulatory procedure center, and take full clinical ownership of our active endovenous ablation program. If you are an APP who wants to do more than manage refills and follow-ups, this is a rare opportunity to lead a defined procedural program with real clinical ownership.
Why You’ll Love This Job
- True Procedural Role: Perform and manage the full spectrum of venous insufficiency care (endovenous ablation and sclerotherapy) with full training and physician support provided.
- Pure Outpatient & No Call: Enjoy a sustainable, predictable schedule with defined clinic hours — no overnight call, no hospital rounding, and no weekends or holidays.
- Private OBL Advantage: Access an efficient, well-equipped, physician-led procedural environment rarely available to APPs, allowing you to expand your skills alongside top interventionalists.
- Built for Career Growth: Help expand our venous program across 3 current regional outreach sites (growing to 5 within 2 years) with opportunities to lead satellite clinic days and grow as an organizational leader.
- Valued Clinical Partner: Work in a collegial, physician-owned, independent environment where your scope is respected and APPs are treated as true partners, not support staff.
- Exceptional Quality of Life: Enjoy the beautiful Black Hills of South Dakota with world-class outdoor recreation, a great climate, and no state income tax.
